Climate Impacts

The open-source pDSSAT framework uses massively parallel computing to simulate climate impacts to crops at very high spatial and temporal resolution.

The CE-VIA initiative includes production of open-source modeling frameworks for massively parallel simulations of a variety of popular crop, pasture, and forest productivity models including pDSSAT (a parallel version of the popular Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT) which support dozens of crop and pasture models) and pCenW (a parallel version of the CenW model of forest and pasture productivity) and is currently being expanded to operate in a multi-model capacity using other independent VIA models such as the Agricultural Production Systems Simulator (APSIM).
