Today, we combined most of our data in Google spreadsheets from our survey of census tract 6706 in West Englewood. We then brainstormed about where to do our next survey. The students spent about fifteen minutes researching Chicago neighborhoods. Then we regrouped to vote on the next survey site. After much deliberating on how we wanted our second census tract to be similar and/or different from 6706, the winner was census tract 2422 in the Wicker Park / Ukrainian Village neighborhood – mostly because students wanted to see what this neighborhood is like.
