John, Aidan, Brandon, Bola, Oni, Alex, and Meghan (not pictured) went to the Fair Oaks Dairy Farm to learn about modern dairy farming and their anaerobic digester. We took a tour of the dairy and saw their anaerobic digester, barns for the cows, and their milking carousel. After the tour we watched a calf being born in an auditorium like "birthing barn". For lunch we enjoyed delicious grilled cheese (made on site!) and the Fair Oaks ice cream.
Picture of calf just after being born. It's a girl!
