Today, we entered the data from last week’s field survey of census tract 7203 in Beverly. The students then each found a few examples of data visualization that they liked and presented them to the rest of the class. We critiqued each one and talked about why it was or wasn’t effective at communicating the underlying data. They then scoured the internet looking for public data that might indicate neighborhood investment/involvement. The students added some of this data to our spreadsheets so that we can begin to analyze our lost letter and key return rates, characteristics from our field surveys, and public data. Whew!
